I thought I'd do the Pretty Petals pattern top down. But guess what I've discovered? Now that I love toe-up so much, I never want to do top-down ever again!
So... we need a new plan.

what about feather and fan, you can do that from the toe up. It's a multiple of 18 sts, so you could have side borders if need be. There's a pattern here: http://www.jimsyldesign.com/~dishbout/kpatterns/feather.html if you just take off the garter stitch borders and have it going all around it might work. I'm guessing that you will have 12 sts per needle if you're doing toe up. So you'd end up with two repeats and maybe some small cables on the sides? Don't know. I hope you find something. I'm a toe up addict myself.

Although I have another secret plan too, that I don't want to reveal for fear of it turning out like my petals...
