Ok, after a whole bunch of fixing, birch is now back on track.
It may not be terribly exciting to look at (it's unblocked lace, how exciting can it be?), but it's mine and I'm desperately in love.

I like the colour of it! I've never been that tempted by making a shawl, except for the colour of a few lace yarns. I'm thinking possibly a clapotis.
